Meet Gary

Gary Kaskowitz, MBA, PhD, helps his students and clients cut through the world of noise to identify what truly matters to their business and personal growth. He is a Professor of Management and the former Dean of the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA.  He is the author of “Brand It Like Barack! How Barack Obama sold himself to America and what you can learn from this” which has been used in college classrooms across the country.

Gary has consulted for both For-Profit and Non-Profit organizations with an emphasis on understanding human motivation and how to drive value in a chaotic world.  He has worked with numerous organizations helping them better define and use strategic marketing principles to acquire additional revenue and support. 

Gary firmly believes in the value of discovering and applying universal and timeless strategies to our lives and business. His unique approach emphasizes the power of education and experience to teach his students and clients to better understand themselves and their worlds to optimize their value.  He does this by using story and models to make complex topics relatable, and more importantly, actionable for his students’ lives and businesses.

Gary has developed, taught courses, and consulted on business modeling, marketing management, strategic marketing, business start-ups, consumer behavior, market research, personal sales, and the use of storytelling and branding to increase loyalty and revenue. His research discusses the use of strategic and tactical management applied to the world of work for students, small and large businesses, and professionals.  He regularly takes students and community members to Walt Disney WorldÒ to teach the power of experience, culture, and customer service in creating brand loyalty.

In addition to his teaching at Moravian College, he is the founder of the Research Based Results and the Moravian Consulting Group firms designed to bring customized training and consulting to business strivers of all abilities.

Gary is also a sought-after speaker.  He has conducted over seventy national and international radio, newspaper, and television interviews on all aspects of marketing, branding, and business development.  He has been honored to have been selected as the 2010 Moravian College Commencement speaker as well as the recipient of the Briedegam award for service and the ODK Golden Apple awards (for outstanding teaching) at Moravian College.

Prior to joining the faculty at Moravian College, Gary spent over fifteen years in corporate America working in government and private industry, including being a senior manager of market research at Verizon.  When not teaching, Gary loves to spend his spare time with his wife, his two children, his two dogs, and his two cats, who he often uses in his teaching examples!

Gary has a BS in Computer Engineering from University of Illinois, an MBA from Averett College, and a MA and PhD in Measurement and Statistics from University of Maryland.
